I chose Tahiti to compare Townsville to because it has a similar climate. However, it does not share accessibility, population, language, presidency, land type, currency, trade, economy or demographics. Both places have a central hill/mountain, a heavy rain season, ferry access, nearby coral reefs, nearby islands and a large amount of European residents.
